Primary job is focused in the implementation and usage of an organizations data and telecom infrastructure as well as computer operations strategy. Oversees management of the data centers, technical service centers, production scheduling, help desks, communication networks (voice and data), and computer systems operations. Directs the maintenance and support of all electronic and computerized systems; information processing equipment, and software for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of information. Sets the direction for all information processing and communication systems and operations. Manages the enterprise’s information technology budget. Works with INS head , IT manager and senior management to determine network architecture strategies and standards.

• The ideal candidate should be responsible for database administration, tuning and support for application in production and test environments: Job duties to include (but not limited to):

• Work with analysts and developers to establish the logical interface between the RDBMS based applications
• Responsible for controlling data capture and the establishment and enforcement of controls and standards to ensure the integrity and security of the enterprise’s data resources
• Responsible for the day-to-day effective technical performance of the physical RDBMS, including taking necessary action to improve performance and initiate recovery activities when system failure occur.
• Responsible for creating the development, testing and acceptance environments for newly developed or enhanced systems, which make use of RDBMS.
• Evaluation of new or prospective RDBMS utilities and new and emerging RDBMS technologies.

Qualifications:
• The qualified candidate need to have 3 to 5 years experience as system administration in UNIX (AIX, Solaris, Linux) platforms in a Oracle Database environment.
• Working with 8i/9i/10g/11g Oracle database on UNIX preferably Solaris
• Practical hands on experience of designing and managing Oracle replication and data guard technologies
• Effective performance tuning and problem resolution abilities
• Sound knowledge of backup and recovery techniques with Oracle 8i/9i/10g/11g
• Working effectively with team of programmers
• Senior level experience with SAN storage and RAID arrays
• Perl and Shell scripting experience
• The candidate must be a self-starter and be able to effectively work in an environment where personal intuitive is requirement. Excellent interpersonal and communication is a must.

2. Experience with setting up and configuring various components on the Oracle Apps Server, eg Portal, Discoverer, Report Servers etc
3. Experience in Java Coding, Should have experience in Core Java, JSP, EJB areas
4. Experience in Java technologies: J2EE - JSP, Java Bean, EJB , Servlets, Struts, XML
5. Experience with Sun Solaris operating system
6. Experience of having setup corporate portals for some big organizations
7. Familiarity with the requirements and expectation from a corporate intranet portal
8. Experience with Oracle Workflow (design, development, deployment).
9. Strong skills with SQL and PL/SQL.
10. Strong problem-solving skills.
